Outpatient (OP) & Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Substance Use Programs

Structured outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs providing evidence-based support, accountability, and skill development to help individuals reduce or stop substance use — all through private telehealth across Michigan.

Intro Section

Struggling with substance use can feel isolating, but real change is possible with the right structure and support.

At InnerRise Therapy, we provide clinically structured outpatient (OP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs designed to help individuals build accountability, develop coping skills, and create lasting behavioral change.

Whether you’re just beginning your recovery journey or working to maintain progress, our programs provide clear direction, consistency, and personalized clinical support.

Our Programs

Outpatient Program (OP)

  • ~4–5 hours per week

  • Weekly sobriety/process, CBT, and psychoeducation groups

  • Individual sessions based on clinical need

  • Ideal for individuals needing structure while maintaining daily responsibilities

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

  • ~9 hours per week

  • Multi-group structured programming

  • Individual therapy included

  • Designed for individuals needing higher levels of support, accountability, and relapse prevention

Our programs use structured, evidence-based approaches including:

Each session is tailored to your needs. We use approaches such as:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for thinking patterns and triggers

  • Motivational Interviewing to explore readiness and goals

  • Relapse prevention planning

  • Psychoeducation about addiction, brain chemistry, and coping

  • Emotional regulation for managing cravings, shame, anger, or anxiety

  • Support for dual diagnosis (e.g., trauma + substance use)

This is a structured, evidence-based clinical program — not a 12-step model — focused on helping you build sustainable change.

Who It's For

Our programs are appropriate for individuals at different stages of change and levels of need. Our substance use therapy is ideal for adults who:

  • Want to address their drinking or drug use privately

  • Feel stuck in cycles of use, guilt, or emotional shutdown

  • Are returning from treatment or trying to stay in recovery

  • Have never been to rehab but feel it’s time for a change

  • Want to build a healthier life, but aren’t sure how to start

  • Have been recommended for counseling or treatment (court, employer, or personal decision)
